Projects to assess
Levelling fills, lightweight screeds, non-structural fills and refurbishment where weight and insulation are design criteria. Each use requires qualification.
Applicators and construction companies
Two application sectors.
Distinct expertise.
Implementation involves two applicator groups: building specialists and road infrastructure contractors. For each project, BLC works with the participants to define the mix, responsibilities and required checks.
Building applicators

Site expertise
Substrate preparation, service openings, levels, interior pumping, thicknesses, curing and coordination with other trades.

Acceptance checks
Allowable loads, bond, moisture before finishing and fire, acoustic and assembly-specific requirements.
Road infrastructure applicators

Documented use
Pavement insulation within a designed structure. Fills, bridge approaches and other works require separate qualification.

Site expertise
Earthworks, water management, platform preparation, placement, transitions, thickness control and traffic management.

Acceptance checks
Suitability, density, strength, protection, cover and authorisation for subsequent layers. Equipment loading is addressed in the specifications.
Who does what?

The licensed producer
Produces under the agreement and defined procedures, with traceability and quality control.

The applicator
Plans and carries out placement in accordance with the drawings, specifications and selected method.

The designer and project owner
Define the use, requirements, design and acceptance criteria.
Producer and applicator availability is confirmed by territory, application and schedule. An interested company is not presented as authorised before its status is confirmed.
